Cloudride Roster Update
Peter Fogarty, no known form but at age 66 has taken on the role as the senior responsible consenting adult. Bryce England, graduating up from the Prologue 500 and backing up after last weekend’s Jet Black 24H event at Rydal. The winner of that event was seven time World 24H champion Jason English who has strongly hinted at giving the multi day bikepacking a go.… might be time for last year's winner Callum McNamara to kit up and defend his title? Another taking on bikepacking for the fist time is Paul Cuthbert serious ultra runner, adventure racer and current fastest known time [FKT] on the Australian Alpine Walking Track [11D:18h] and made famous on The Hidden Athlete podcast.
Welcome Paul, not much walking on this one but it will come in handy…
Rowan McMurray’s Prologue 500 ride report
Rowan McMurray 6th home in the recent Prologue 500 has put together his thoughts, trials and tribulations to share. Thanks Rowan and best wishes from the Cloudriders for a successful TransContinental later in the year.
Winter Warning
The current high country winter snap is a timely reminder for Cloudriders come mid April to be well prepared for all weather eventualities. This is no time to be making high-risk gear choices.
Final .gpx file for the 2019 Cloudride released
Registered riders can now lock in their ride planning and navigation detail with the release of the FINAL .gpx race route file.
Some minor route changes in the opening 500k following summer fires, logging and road closures and some major route changes and navigation challenges on the back 500k including the reintroduction of Rocky Ridge FT so loved by Cloudriders in the first few years.

Plenty of familiar names on this little 380k loop through the Vic Goldfields. Pretty sure the front runners which includes 2018 Tour Divide winner Lewis Ciddor wont have packed pyjamas.
